Tree-structured cross-site categories:
Tree-structured cross-site cross-list cross-type categories are centrally managed in one global category list per WSS/MOSS site collection or site-collection wide (depending on version). Additional columns for parent category, synonymes, related categories and rules for category assignment are provided by default. Simply add your own columns and views to customize the category list display for any web parts. It's simply a SharePoint list - so it is realy easy to handle. |

The navigation is linked to category-based sites with metadata-based lists of all items and documents tagged with the given category.
